Salaam and welcome!

Getting outdoors in the summer is tough, but I’ve got a hack for you. Lakes.

Lakes help cool surrounding areas, and they look great during sunset or sunrise. Visit the lakeside walkable area I suggest below, and you’ll see what I mean.

We also had good feedback on the Kids Splash Pad mentioned in Edition 006, so we have another one for you today.

Here’s your weekend plans:

🍽 Eat This

Foul W Hummus, Al Barsha

If you like Hummus, you will love this place. It may be the best Hummus you’ll ever have, despite the price being insanely cheap.

Get their Foul, Hummus, and Falafel, and thank me later. They also give free food to those who need it.

Drink This

Rationed, Nad Al Sheba

A sleek specialty coffee spot that’s drive-thru only. Great baristas and unique packaging. Try their banana pudding as well.

Rationed is one of the many Villas in Nad al Sheba serving coffee, food, and dessert to drivers passing through. More spots like this to come!

🙂 Chill Here

Green Community East Park, Lake, and Mall, DIP

A hidden (and stunning) park wrapped around a lake, with walkways that make for perfect sunset strolls. The Market Mall sits just nearby, so you can grab a karak or bite to eat, too. Few places in Dubai manage to feel this peaceful, so do me a favour and keep this spot between us.

❤️ Take the Kids Here

Dubai Creek Park Splash Pad

Free, outdoors, and shaded. The splash pad inside Dubai Creek Harbour Central Park is a lifesaver on hot afternoons. Let the kids splash while you take a seat. Creek Park itself is one of Dubai’s lesser-known outdoor spaces, so you can easily make a full day of it by bringing a picnic along.

(P.S, park your car here)

🧠 Dubai Cheat Code

Lulu’s hot food counter is seriously underrated, especially if you’re spending too much on food. Full containers of (good!) chicken biryani for under 15AED. The shawarma and rotisserie chicken need to be tried, too.

See you next Friday!
