Salaam and welcome!

…You heard that thunder, too, right? It felt like it was RIGHT above my house at one stage.

I’ve been enjoying the videos of rivers and waterfalls forming in the mountains over the last two days. I shared my go-to Instagram account for those incredible videos below.

Here are your weekend plans. Okay, just Sunday, then.

🍽 Eat This

Grand Abshar Restaurant & Sweets, Jumeirah

Iranian food done properly.Their sweets are sweet-ing, too.

I always order joojeh chicken or joojeh lamb. They marinate it in yoghurt, it’s insane. Also, get the tea; it comes with a cool sugar stick. I am easily entertained.

Drink This

MAZMi Coffee & More, Al Fahidi

Perfect for winter, MAZMI is right on the Dubai Creek. Watch the boats float by as you sip on a brew and take in brunch. Very calm vibes.

Ripe Market, Umm Suqiem

Want to see a crowd under Dubai’s blue skies? Head to Ripe Market. You’ll find new food concepts, local makers, and even local farmers selling produce.

Go in the morning, grab breakfast, let the kids roam, and take your time; it’s nice outside.

❤️ Take the Kids Here

Dubai Archers / Sharjah Wanderers Archery Club, Sharjah

Yes, yes, it’s in Sharjah, but this is a very approachable Archery range with members from both Dubai and Sharjah. You and the kids can grab lessons or just hit the shooting range.

🧠 Dubai Cheat Code

Last week, the mountains were bone dry. Right now, they’re bursting with rivers and waterfalls. It’s the perfect time to visit areas like Wadi Shawka if you want to experience the UAE’s natural beauty at its best.

Don’t believe me? Check out StormAE on Instagram. Their videos are incredible.

That’s all folks! Catch you next Friday.
