Salaam and welcome!

Dubai has been cooooold recently.

I’ve been trying to make the most of it by visiting more parks and walking tracks, particularly after the school drop-off. Take in the winter air, because we’ll be staring Summer in the face before you know it!

Here are your weekend plans.

P.S, I’m thinking of writing a Ramadan in Dubai guide. Post-taraweeh spots and suhoor hangouts. Reply with a “YES” if that interests you!

🍽 Eat This

Three by Eva, Jumeirah

This Jordanian restaurant flew way under my radar. But no longer. They’re known for their excellent breakfast dishes, as well as their Mansaf, a slow-cooked Jordanian dish that everybody should try.

Drink This

Midy (HM Equestrian Club), Al Rowayyah

Open from 4PM until late daily, this specialty coffee shop serves fresh brews and matcha at one of Dubai’s many Horse stables.

Grab a drink, then go for a ride. Lessons are available for kids and adults.

Friday Market, Fujairah

Road trip meets shopping. This traditional market in the mountains has everything from plants to carpets to fresh local produce to cooking pots. Negotiate for a good deal. They serve corn and juices inside the market.

❤️ Take the Kids Here

Love Lake, Dubai

It took me years to visit Love Lake, because I had a feeling it was more of a touristy gimmick than anything else, but I was wrong.

It was calm, respectful, and filled with residents, not tourists. It’s a great place for a picnic or BBQ. Many families brought tents to enjoy some privacy while cooking their BBQs in front of the lovely, fish-filled lake. You can get there even in a sedan. Prayer rooms, toilets, and a small cafeteria are on-site.
