Salaam and welcome!
Dubai’s summers are hot, and this year is no exception.
Or is it?
This is my fifth summer in Dubai, and I’ve noticed significantly less humidity and far more breezy nights this year. Last night I played football at Ballers in Downtown, and…dare I say it…the weather was pleasant.

In other news, here’s your plan for the weekend:
🍽️ Eat This
Al Fanar Seafood Restaurant, Al Seef
Have you tried Emirati cuisine yet? Here’s your chance. They have branches across the UAE, but this one is my go-to. It’s on the Creek, and if the weather is nice enough, you can sit outside and watch the boats float by. Excellent during winter, too.
I recommend the machboos and the shredded shark.

☕️ Drink This
Camel Step, Al Satwa (Near Downtown)
I fell in love with Camel Step’s expertise while in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. I was pleased to see their branch in Dubai. Their baristas are top-notch.

🙂 Chill here
Dubai Bowling Center, Al Quoz
Some indoor fun for adults and kids alike.
This place has old school vibes. Reasonable prices, lots of parking, and they even have a secret VIP section that they don’t advertise. Ask the reception for access, and they’ll show you the secret entrance.

❤️ Take the Kids Here
Splash Park, Dubai South Central Park
This shaded playground and splash park is free (for now). Dubai South has a lot of potential. I always enjoy checking out these up-and-coming places to see what the city is working on.
