Salaam and welcome!

Due to current circumstances, I want to preface this email with the following:

1) Follow official government news and guidelines.

2) Don’t panic. Trust Allah. Al hamdulilah, the UAE’s defences are world-class.

3) Ignore western media and western influencers who are seizing the opportunity to try and destabilize the UAE and the GCC as a whole. They can’t fathom a place that looks after its people without taxing them to death and then taxing them again after their funeral.

Aaaaaand back to the food and coffee. In keeping with our Ramadan series, we’re highlighting restaurants and cafes opening their doors for Iftar.

Here are your iftar and suhoor plans for the weekend!

🍽 Eat This

Dr Smash, Nad al Hamar

Craving a smash burger? Because I am. This joint is quite new and offers single-, double-, and triple-patty burgers that you can customize. The burgers start from just 29AED, and their drinks include lemonade and iced tea. They close at 3:45am during Ramadan.

Drink This

Off the Street, Muhaisinah

A little far out, but I’m hearing this cafe is worth it. You can just drive up and order your drinks and treats. It’s right next to A mosque and Muhaisinah Park, so this trip could work out nicely on the way to taraweeh prayer.

Al Ain Oasis

If you want to spend your weekend away from the city, Al Ain is well worth the trip. Quiet, cool, and full of greenery, especially at Al Ain Oasis.

❤️ Take the Kids Here

Wadi Hub, Hatta

With no school any time soon, you may want to tire the kids out at Wadi Hub. The drive up to Hatta is always scenic, and there are many activities to choose from, including archery, Zorbing, mountain biking, ziplining, and more.
