Salaam and welcome!
Temperatures are dropping in Dubai, and I, for one, can’t wait to spend more time outdoors. And no, I’m not just talking about Global Village.
Drives into the mountains, picnics at the park, and maybe even a spot of fishing if I can wake up early enough.
Reply to this email and let me know what you’re most looking forward to this winter!
Here are your weekend plans:
🍽 Eat This
Bin Eid Traditional Restaurant, Nad al Hamar
Eating out doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. In fact, I’ve found Dubai’s best food in more humble settings. Bin Eid serves up Emirati comfort food, like Harees, which is slow-cooked wheat and meat that’s smooth, rich, and quietly addictive.
Portions are generous, prices are great, and the place feels like stepping into an older, slower Dubai.

☕ Drink This
RAW Coffee Company, Al Quoz
A pioneer of the city’s coffee scene. Their roastery is open to the public, and the baristas will happily walk you through single-origin beans or a V60 brew. It’s casual, industrial, and deeply embedded in Dubai’s specialty coffee scene.

Jameel Arts Centre + Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park
Free, peaceful, and thoughtfully built. The galleries change often, and good coffee is served at the on-site restaurant. There’s also a 6 km walking and cycling track that wraps around the entire waterfront, perfect for sunrise runs or sunset strolls.

❤️ Take the Kids Here
Al Mamzar Beach Park
Locals and long-time residents will know about this beautiful spot, but it’s still under the radar for many. Five beaches, bike rentals, and shaded lawns for barbecues. Entry’s around AED 5 per person. One of the best-value full-day family spots in the city.

Al Ajban Chicken, the 12-hour farm-to-market bird.
Chickens on this new Abu Dhabi-based poultry farm go from eating feed on the farm to Dubai shelves in under 12 hours. Fresher than imports and a few dirhams cheaper than other brands. Check Noon for deals.
